How-to
Managing entries
This page covers the day-to-day mechanics of the Entry List. For what the Entry List is, see the concept page.

| Duplicate | Duplicates the selected entries. |
| Move Up / Move Down | Moves the selected entry or hierarchy block. |
| Hide menu | Hide/show editor entries by active entry, type, parents, children, selected-only, or all. |

Building hierarchy
The structure row changes parent/child relationships for the active entry:
- Set Parent: choose a parent for the active entry.
- Indent: make the active entry a child of the previous compatible entry.
- Outdent: move the active entry up one hierarchy level.
- Clear Parent: remove the active entry's parent.
- Unparent Direct Children: keep the entry but move its direct children up one level.
- Unparent All Children: keep the entry but move every descendant out of the hierarchy.
Depth limit
Entry hierarchy depth is capped at 12 levels.
Parent/child relationships are what enable Conditions on a child entry.
Navigating with the Hierarchy Lens
The Hierarchy Lens helps you move around a deep tree:
- Shows whether the active entry is top-level, child, parent, or child-parent.
- Shows depth and direct child count.
- Parent button selects the parent.
- First Child button selects the first direct child.
- Previous / Next buttons select siblings.
- Direct Children menu lists all direct children.
Deleting a parent
What happens when you delete a parent that has children is set by Parent Delete:
- Ask When Needed: prompt when deleting a parent with children.
- Delete Parent Only: delete the parent and promote its children.
- Delete Hierarchy: delete the parent and all descendants.
This default lives in Confirmations.
Keyboard shortcuts
Most of these actions have shortcuts when the Entry List is the active shortcut target — Add (Shift+A), Remove (X), Duplicate (Shift+D), Move (W / S), and more. See Keyboard shortcuts.
